事業概要 - JACTIM

We have a dialogue with the government and business community to deepen our understanding of the Malaysian government's policies and ideas. As necessary, members' opinions are collected, and opinion and policy advocacy activities are developed through dialogue sessions with government and related organizations.

Main organizations: Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Finance, Malaysia (MOF), Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (MDTCC)・ Ministry of Consumer), Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).

The eight committees consider various issues in JACTIM activities. As basic activities of members, we hold seven sections in the industry section and four sections in the regional section. At each meeting, lectures are held to provide useful information to members, and it also serves as a place for members to promote their own company information and exchange information.

We carry out business that directly benefits the business for SME members.

Main activities: SME course and round-table conference, SME business environment research team dispatch, management consultation room operation, employment fair for SMEs (ADTEC / high technology training school)

We conduct social contribution activities to Malaysia through JACTIM FOUNDATION in the fields of culture, society, education and welfare in Malaysia.

Major support destinations: University of Malaya, Department of East Asian Studies Japanese Studies Program, Malaysian International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Special Olympics Sarawak (Sarawak branch of NGO active in 160 countries in the world), The Association of Science Technology and Innovation (ASTI) / NGOs focused on the spread of science education "invention contest for middle and high school students" etc

For the Japanese manufacturing industry where securing technical talent is an important issue, we co-sponsor a job fair (a booth, career talk, student interview, etc.) with the local university every year.

Major co-sponsored universities: Malaysian University of Science (USM), Malaysian Institute of Technology (UTM), Tenaga University (UNITEN), Tunku Abdul Laman University (UTAR), Malaysian National University (UKM), University of Malaya (UM), Multimedia University (UM) etc

A survey team is dispatched once a year for the purpose of comparing the investment environment mainly in Malaysia, and summarized in the survey report.

Main dispatch destinations: Bintulu, Penang, Kuantan, Johor, Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, Labuan, Terengganu, Pahan, etc. in Sarawak

We provide information on Malaysian economic conditions, policies, trends of Japanese companies, JACTIM business activities, etc. through various publications and e-mails, and the JACTIM website.

Publications: Journal, Malaysia Handbook, Investment Environment Comparison Survey Report, Traffic Accidents and Insurance Situation, Economic Trends Survey Results, Survey Results of Japanese Companies in Malaysia, etc.

Every year, JACTIM member relatives golf and JACTIM year-end party are held to promote mutual relations among members.
